The Headmaster of the village school Mr J T Titchener aged 66 years died today; he had been headmaster for the school for 38 years at the Wesleyan Day School. At the age of 22 he became the Headmaster of a National Children's Home School and four years later accepted the appointment at Whitchurch. During the 41 years at Whitchurch he was an active member of the Wesleyan Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and a Local Preacher for 31 years when he was in great demand throughout the Aylesbury Circuit." on 1 FEB 1920.16
