    Marguerita Chapman, 57, died on Friday, January 09, 2004, at home. Born April 12, 1946, in London, England, Marguerita was the daughter of Dr. Norman James and Maud James. She was raised in Melbourne, Australia and came to the United States at age eighteen. Her parents preceded Marguerita in death. Marguerita is survived by her husband, Jerry, of Austin; daughter, Lisa Serrano and her husband, Alex; granddaughter, Ava of Richardson; son, James Chapman of Austin; brothers, Dr. Karl James and wife, Eugenia; Johann James of Winnsboro, Texas, and Dr. Pietro James and wife, Lynn of Hellena, Mt. Marguerita married Jerry Chapman on August 26, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. She and her family relocated to Austin in 1975. Marguerita was an active member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and a member of the Daughters of The King Episcopal Order. She completed her nursing training in Australia and was also a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Serving as pallbearers are her son, James Chapman; son-in-law, Alex Serrano; brothers, Dr. Karl James, Dr. Pietro James, and Johann James; and friends, Tony Hatheway and Daniel Henshaw. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 12 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Drive, 78731. Following the service, committal will at Austin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Endowment Fund.
