near Goose Creek, maintained a “ garrison house.” There
were several garrison houses in Town, each being the
refuge of from six to twelve families in times of trouble with
the Indians. Joseph Wilson is always mentioned in the
Town Records as Sargeant Joseph Wilson.1 
Note* He and Hannah Endle had 12 children including Ruth.1
