Note* | 11 FEB 1958 | She is remembered. Mrs. Rosetta Van Gesen, 80, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Seth Sexton, River Rd. She had been in poor health for some time. Mrs. Van Gesen was born in London, England, on May 9, 1877, daughter of William and Sarah Franks. On July 12, 1897; she was married to John B. Saker, who died Feb. 10, 1915. She was married to Wilfred Van Gesen on Sept 27, 1916 in Canada. Mrs. Van Gesen had resided in Rome since her second marriage and was a member of Zion Episcopal Church. She was educated in London. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Otto (Harriett) Engelbrecht, Mrs. James P. (Rose) Kehoe, Mrs. Lloyd (Lillian) Blood and Mrs. Sexton, all of Rome, and Mrs. Garry (Vera) Spink, Blossvale, three sons, David and John Saker and Edward Van Gesen, all of Rome, a sister, Mrs. Joseph Smith, London, England; 19 grandchildren and14 great grandchildren. on 11 FEB 1958.13 |
