Note* Joyce Elaine (Skippen) Todd died peacefully Friday evening, July 20, 2012, at the Temiskaming Hospital at the age of 90. She was born February 18, 1922, in Thunder Bay (Port Arthur) to Harold and Alma Skippen and spent most of her adult life in Cobalt. Mrs. Todd enjoyed being an active part of the community serving the Cobalt Town Council and several other municipal organizations. She was secretary/bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Todd Insurance Agency, for many years. She was a member of the Cobalt United Church, was a substitute teacher, a gym teacher and coached various sports. Mrs. Todd was predeceased by her parents, her husband H. Arnold Todd and sister Elizabeth (Betty) Larsen. She is survived by her children, H. A. Todd of Ottawa, R. Frank Todd of Cobalt and Susan E. Todd of Haileybury; grandchildren Heather (Scott) Anderson, R. James (Shannon) Todd, Shelley Todd (Will Reid), Aaron (Afton) Hood and Rebecca Hood (Marc Leblond); great-grandchildren Justin and Sydney Anderson, Mackenzie, Jordan, Ryan and Michael Todd, Sidney, Angel, Tucker and Kennedy Hood, Madison Hood and Sebastien Leblond. Mrs. Todd is also survived by her brother, Robert (Betty-Ann) Skippen and brother-in-law Chris Larsen. Respecting Mrs. Todd’s wishes, the family will hold no formal service. A memorial visitation will be held at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Cobalt Public Library will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.2
